The Halet Aviator follows the A-2 flight jacket pattern issued to US pilots in the 1930s. It is cut from full-grain leather with a shearling collar that retains warmth through the colder months. A full zip front, flap chest pockets, and a utility sleeve pocket sit above an elasticated hem that ensures a close fit. Reinforced stitching runs through the seams, and the leather softens with wear without losing its shape.
The lining features a printed aviation chart, a nod to the silk escape maps carried by aircrew during the war.
